The popularity of Middle Eastern music began in Boston and surrounding areas in the 1950s.
Througout the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s Greeks, Arabs, Turks, Jews, Armenians, and Americans came together at various Supper Clubs to listen and dance to music from their homelands well into the wee hours of the night.
There was a pulsating excitement and lightness of spirit that characterized that era, which has rarely been seen in the Middle Eastern and Greek Supper Clubs since.
Recorded live at the World Famous AVEROF Restaurant.
